Happy Spring!!! I’m so glad spring is here. I love to explore around the backyard, and since Mom has work in the yard to do, I get to be outside more.
I’m always on the lookout for intruders. People walk by with their dogs on the greenbelt path, and I have to sound the alarm so they stay on their side of the fence. Sometimes, I find bunnies eating the zinnia sprouts and chase them out of the garden.
Lots of trees are budding, and flowers are blooming. The Snowflakes are blooming.
And the Redbud trees are blooming, too. Mom likes the Redbuds because they have really pretty pink flowers.
The Chinese Pistachio tree is budding and soon will have leaves.
There must have been a bunnie in my yard not long ago. I know because I can smell him.
Mom’s herbs are growing again. She grows lots of herbs in pots on the patio. Here is one of her pots with oregano and thyme.
Here’s the chives.
And the sage and lemon thyme.
Mom also has more herbs that need to be potted. They’ve been sitting there for awhile. I wonder when she’s going to plant them.
The asparagus is up in the garden, and Mom already has had some to eat. She says it’s better than any asparagus in the store.
The garlic is growing, too, but she said she planted it a bit late, so we’ll have to wait and see how it does.
We hope you had a wonderful first day of Spring, too. Happy Spring!!!
